Phew, it’s been a busy summer so far! Hence, the reason my blog posts have been few and far between this past month. While juggling kids, baseball games, birthday parties and just summertime activities in general, I have also been in the process of organizing, packing and planning for my family’s move. And, although we are not moving far at all, the preparation of moving is not only time-consuming, but a bit stressful, too.
Yet, even during these busy summer days, we have still been making time for pool time and outdoor fun with the kids. And with the summer time heat and pool visits, I’ve been finding myself thinking of skin care, beach bags, swimsuits and other crucial summertime essentials. I mean, through the chaos and craziness of life, you can’t neglect taking care of yourself through it all. That’s a must!
Now that I’m in my 40’s, I’ve been conscious of finding a good skin care regimen, which includes a non-greasy sunscreen for the face, a flattering bathing suit that not only covers well, but stays put and allows me to have fun with the kids in the pool, a large beach/pool bag and a hat to protect this noggin of mine. Yes, these are the summer essentials I’ve been keeping my eyes and ears open for. Before 40, I never cared too much about these things. It was more about wanting a good tan, a cute bathing suit and a cute beach bag. I guess you can say, as you get older, it’s more about what’s practical, than what’s, “cute” or “pretty”. In fact, these more practical things actually make me feel smarter, healthier and “prettier”. And, if you’re lucky, you can have both cute and practical like some of the picks above.
The sunscreen was recommended by a friend. I loved how she could just whip out her sunscreen at the baseball games and apply it easily with the built-in sunscreen powder brush. No lotion. No chemicals. No greasy face. No mess. No hassle. Those were enough reasons for me to research and put that item on my, “must-have” list. Of course, once I researched the sunscreen, I started looking more at the whole skin care line Eminence had to offer. It was a line I wasn’t at all familiar with, but apparently it’s used at many spas. I’ll be checking some more of their product line out and sharing my feedback, so stay tuned!
