Lately, I’ve made these popular burlap wreaths for friends and family, just because. I mean, do you really need a reason to do a little something special for the special people in your life? In my opinion, seeing them smile is all the reason you need.
While browsing through Walmart, yes, Walmart . . . I stopped in my tracks when I saw this adorable owl and leaf burlap. Knowing someone who loves owls, I immediately thought of making them a wreath. With that said, it was a done deal and the owl burlap wreath was in my bag and on its way home.
I’ve noticed owls are quite popular these days. So, being the girl who loves meaning and inspiration, I of course decided to google owls to see if there was any significant meaning behind this large eyed creature. And guess what, there was! Owls are known for being intuitive and “wise”. And according to Google, “An owl symbolizes the ability to cut through illusions and see the real meaning of someone’s action or state of mind.”
Hmm . . . I must say, this little owl has been added to my list of favorite things. It holds a meaning that’s close to heart. I knew there was a reason that owl burlap popped out at me that day.
If you want to dress up your fall door with the wise owl like the one above, you will need:
- A large wire wreath
- 3 rolls of plain burlap
- 2 rolls of leaf burlap
- 2 rolls of owl burlap
Now, of course you can create your own one-of-a-kind creations, but I found that 4 rolls of burlap are definitely needed! When I make my wreaths, I always visit this Wiki site.
