Lately I’ve been posting quite a bit about my new obsession with Lush cosmetics, all natural, hand-made skin care. My recent trip to Lush actually peaked my own curiosity about DIY skin care recipes, after seeing and hearing more about their facial masks. I have tossed the idea of trying to make my own bath bombs, but just haven’t gotten around to it yet. The ingredients and directions are a bit more extensive, so I’ve been procrastinating a bit with this DIY. However, sugar scrubs and facial masks seem pretty simple, if you know the right ingredients to use. When I look for a recipe to cook for my family, I always try to stick with five ingredients or less. This is exactly what I was aiming for when looking for DIY skin care recipes. I mean, you can be simple, while still being effective, right?
So, this morning I decided to do a little research on anti-aging skin care and natural foods you can buy from the local grocery store, that actually “feed” our skin, not just our bellies. Now that I’m in my 40s, I’ve not only have I noticed my eyes going down hill, my skin is needs a little extra TLC, too. I’ve always taken care of my skin, but I’m getting more in to learning about my skin and what’s best for it.
